Buyers Comments
Having done some research in to the Plasma
TV's I knew that I wanted one with built in tuner and audio
and video connectivity and that 42" was about as big as I
could sensibly go in my living room. Certainly when
the prices started to drop beneath £1,000 I thought it was
time to take the plunge.
This product looked too good to be true and I was a bit
sceptical of the brand, having not heard of it.
The TV is truly stunning though ,connection and set up was
easy with a remote control that talks you through adjusting
the picture and at 3000:1 contrast ratio it's as good as
anything I've seen in my local Currys showroom.
The picture has actually got better over the last few weeks
but I'm told that's also normal for Plasma TV's as they
settle.
My Sky box is connected up and the football looks great, to
get the full effect you should probably also invest in a
home theatre surround sound kit which then feels like your
at the game.

the bit you need to be interested in is
the panel and contrast ratio for tv quality this is a
Samsung panel with ct of 3000:1 which for this money is
excellent if you want a professional review just search for
Samsung and look up a panel with 3000:1 ct and you will buy
this one.

I've been reading all the comments about
this TV and HDTV and thought this might be of interest to
some, it comes direct from the SKY HD Website at http://hd.sky.com
in the FAQ section:
I already have an HD resolution TV but it does not have
HDMI & DVI connectors.
Provided your TV has a minimum native resolution of 720
lines and will support 720p/50 or 1080i/25 it will support
Sky HD via analogue component connectors.
These are RCA Phono sockets markerd Y, Pr, Pb (not to be
confused with RCA R,G,B which is SD only). These component
video connectors have been added to our initial set top
boxes as we are aware early HD Resolution TVs didn't have
HDMI or DVI connectors.
Skys subsequent HD boxes may NOT support analogue component
connectors.
So reading between the lines, if you take up the SKY HDTV
service as soon as it goes live this TV has the resolution
and the analogue Y, Pr, Pb connectors to view HDTV
perfectly. If you leave it until the 2nd generation sky hd
boxes then it may not work.
